secure connection STILL not working for me after long years... Bugs is what I see everywhere in TheBat. I can't fix some problems for years. Noone gives a damn to fix anything and add features that other clients have. This product is not changing for so long time.

"If I delete problematic certificate from address book and don't add it to trusted when checking mail but instead just click OK, then it works." - thank you for the tip. This is for the first time I achieved secure connection directly via TheBat!! I was using STUNNEL320 tool to do the job. Due to certificate bug, we cannot store certificates ( I don't want to click OK every minute. Really not. So what I do, is to automate this window with ASUS Security Protect Manager. But no way, TheBat! is the only application from milions I have, which window cannot be identified. It even crashes on second try. Now I cannot use fingerprint feature on TheBat to enter passwords, although TheBat is the most frequent password asker ( Now I even lost my connection to STUNNEL because TheBat won't connect to it anymore after I changed account type from POP3 to IMAP (of course it didn't happen as it's not allowed but still it corrupted something).
I'm dying to see TheBat receive secure emails. I'm ready to modify the certificate somehow. There must be way.. I can't wait for another 10 years until they fix the bug.
I didn't have problem with Gmail either, only with my ISP. I am not sure but maybe problem was related to latest Kaspersky version, because I replaced it with NOD32 and now everything is fine.

EDIT: The problem is back again so it is not Kaspersky related. It was working just fine whole day yesterday, so I am completely puzzled

EDIT2: If I delete problematic certificate from address book and don't add it to trusted when checking mail but instead just click OK, then it works.
I have the exact same problem. It happens on multiple accounts. What's really interesting is that on at least one account, it can receive mail but not send mail, both receive and send use the same cert.

My guess is that it is a bug in 4.0.24, so I'm going to downgrade until it is fixed.

JBB
