This is not Ritlabs support, but a user to user discussion forum concerning The Bat!

You've fallen victim to a windows issue.

TB installs and uninstalls from an admin account, the dat you mention are stored in the registry of the user account that you've using to run TB.

The option is simple, delete te key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT from you tegistry.

Cannot bypass original installation directory on re-installation Re-installation in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Hello support,

I initially installed the bat in
P:\Progam Files (x86)\The Bat

directory. During the installation I pointed the bat to my original directory contains previous Bat mail data in
D:\Bat!Mail

However, on completion of the installation, only some of my data is is displayed.

I uninstalled the bat using the option change and erase the data. However, the bat still finds the data again after reinstallation - it does not seem to erase the data because the folder still exist afterwards.

I now change the D:\Bat!Mail folder to D:\bat.mail. Reinstalling the Bat now gives me this error message:
"Cannot open 'D:\bat!Mail\ikey.id'
The System cannot find the path specified"

So it seems the original installation data path is cached somewhere and is not being deleted during the uninstall. As a result I am stuck.

I am using the Professional version of the Bat 4.0.11 on Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit'

Please let me know how to remove this cache so I can reinstall the program and enjoy the Bat as usual.

Thanks.
