Whenever you get "Access violation" or similar error message, you can send the file thebat_Exceptions.log to the technical support to help the developers to fix this problems. You can locate the file thebat_Exceptions.log in The Bat! mail directory: "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\TheBat! PWD\"

I am trying to install TheBat version 4.0.34 and when I select the On-the-fly Encryption box and Password and then select Next and then enter my Professional registration key and I get a popup that says "Thank you for registering your software. You will be using TheBat in On-The-Fly Encryption Mode. I click OK. The next window that appears I select Default Application Data Folder and click next and get the following error "Access violation at address 00B49D2E in module 'thebat.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFFF." I click Ok on that popup and then click cancel on TheBat Setup window and get this error 'Cannot open file "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\TheBat! PWD\ikwy.id" The system cannot find the file specified'  

I can install TheBat fine without the encryption.

I am using Vista with SP1
