This just goes to show what a pro I am at using The Bat! After using the compress option the size of The Bat! folder in application data went down from 4+ gigabytes to 160 megabytes.

Easy fix. Thanks for the help!
4GB compressed to 100M? The Bat! applies compression to TBK, but this is too much, as I think. It depends on compressed filetypes, of course, I have 9GB MAIL folder and compressed TBK has 5GB, I am backing up all folders and attachments.

First of all, open Folder maintenance dialog and compress all folders, this will remove all deleted messages, which stays in msgbases until You remove them completely.

Then do new backup and compare its size and TB's MAIL folder.

Cleaning the Cache? in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I've been using The Bat! for a while now. I have four e-mail accounts configured and over time the program folder located in Application Data became huge.

At this moment I have over 4 gigabytes of data in there and I was wondering why is everything taking up so much space?

When I do a full backup of all of my accounts, I end up with a single file that's around 100 megabytes. The way I understand it, when I have the backup, I could format my hard drive, install new Windows, install a clean The Bat! and use the backup and I would have all my account info, addresses and emails in there, right?

So where does this huge amount of data come from and how do I cut it down to size? Thanks for any help.
