I went there :
Options -> Preferences -> Virus/Trojan Alert
and add the .WMV on the list.
Worked great for me plus added .pps and .mp3
I went there :
Options -> Preferences -> Virus/Trojan Alert
and add the .WMV on the list.
Now the message do not display anymore, but absolute nothing happens. I was checking the "task Manager" during it and there is no change on the task list, so it means for me that the 'call' to the program never happened.
Any other ideas?
There are two different windows that can pop-up when you double click on an attachment, one has to be answered with 'yes' and one with 'no'. Read carefull what question you're answering.

You can define the alerts and permission for opening attachments at:
Options -> Preferences -> Virus/Trojan Alert

Association files - Opening attachments It's not working on V 4.034 in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
there are few attachment files that I'm not being able to open directly from the e-mail, like:
.WMV, .MPG and only few others.
It's working for .DOC, .XLS, .HTML, .GIF, .JPG
I search the forum here an there is few questions on this issue, and the answer is always:

"The Bat! uses the Windows system file associations only. The only way you can fix this is to change the Windows default. You can do this manually in the Windows Explorer ... Tools .. Folder options dialog on the "Files" tab."

well, my windows is setup to open .WMV with VLC Media Player, but every time I double click on the attachment, I receive the warning telling me that it's potencially dangerous to open, etc, etc. and I choose "NO" and then nothing happens. If I do the same with a .DOC, then after that message the Word will open.

What I'm missing here?

My .WMC files ARE associated to VLC Media Player.

Thank you
