Problems with writting messages and old version

This is working exactly to specification. It is how auto format is supposed to work. To temporarily suspend auto-format, use the Ctrl-Shift-F hotkey to allow you to enter lists and alternately formatted paragraphs.

Auto-format requires a blank to delimit a paragraph. It is still so in Version 3 and will always be.

Problems with writting messages and old version in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I'm using The Bat, version 1.60. The problem I have is that I have configured the program to adjust text in the editor: autoformat, autowrap etc. It works great, so when the text reaches the end, it goes to the next line, and even if I edit the text, adding or removing words, and even pasting text, the message keeps in shape. BUT, when I want to go to another line (paragraph) and press enter, the editor takes me back to the previous line. The only solution is to press enter twice, and leave a blank line in between paragraphs. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to configure the program with any special setup? Is this a bug? Has it been fixed in recent versions of The Bat? For the rest, the program is perfect. Thanks!
