if You have internal implementation selected, You have CA addressbooks hidden probably, Yuo can display them via menu View | Certificate address books
Your right. I changed it to that when I was testing some stuff. However I don't actually want to use it.

I did try your suggestion. The cert was added, but to no avail. I still had the problem.

When I switch it back to internal implementation, it doesn't 'Trusted Root CA' does not reappear in my address book. Is there a way to readd this?
OK, You have probably changed SMIME/TLS fr om internal implementation to PS Crypto API, am I right? It is in menu Options | SMIME and TLS.

If Yes and You want to stay with it, You must add certificate to Windows certificate store, where TB searching it instead of internal Trusted Root CA. You can do this via Internet explorer for example.
I think that explains the problem. I don't have a "Trusted Root CA" Address book, so I can't add it to it. How do I create a certificate Address Book?

if You have that certificate, open AddressBook "trusted Root CA", create new contact, select Certificates tab and import it here.
I just upgraded from verion 4.0.38 to 4.1.11. Every thing was working fine in the old version. We are using a self-signed certificate on our server, and since upgrading I get the message:

!4/15/2009, 14:58:50: FETCH - TLS handshake failure. Invalid server certificate. The certificate or certificate chain is based on an untrusted root.

We are self-signed. In previous versions, I could select - Add to Trusted, and it would work. Now it does not come up with that message though.

I can no longer send/receive email
