fixed it by restoring an old backup over the existing files. Apparently worked well and the new messages (after the backup) were not lost.

Posted this to the support area, but no reply . Maybe someone ran into this and can give a helping hand.

After a normal computer restart, one of the 8 account I have in the bat is gone. the files seem to be present on disk, but I can't see the account in the program interface.

Instead, now I have an account with no name, empty inbox/outbox folders and a copy of the global folders in it.

Using on the fly encryption. Bat version is 4.0.38, on windows vista business.
