Managing view modes

Managing view modes Unable to apply different view modes to different folders in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Hi Marck!

Tried it... no good. It seems that when I assign the view mode, it isn't saved. But then when I right-click the columns in that folder, it says I'm using the new view mode. But I'm not.

The problem is my sent folder. Because I can effectively only use one setup for all folders, all my folders (including sent mail) have to display the to and from addresses.

Very annoying...

Dave
How about ... create a whole new view mode from scratch and then assign it to the folder in the folder properties or right click context menu from the folder tree.

I have to say that (as you know) I too have mutli-upgraded my bat over the years and don't have any problem assigning view modes. Then again, I have half a dozen of them.

Managing view modes Unable to apply different view modes to different folders in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I've been trying to setup different view modes to different folders, but no matter what I do, only one mode seems to be applied.

Example. I setup "standard" as the view that I want to use for all folders, then "sent mail" as the view for my sent mail.

But no matter how I try to setup sent mail to use "sent mail", it reverts to "standard".

I think this may be a leftover from upgrading MANY versions over the years, complete with settings.

Is there some way that I can set TheBat! back to the default view modes that it came with, and then modify things as required?

I hope I've explained myself here

TIA,

Dave Collins
