Hmm...

I thought I would be able to create a new message with the contents of the original but with the subject modified. The original could just be deleted and the new message used in it's place.

Without third party tools TB doesn't allow for changing received messages, but this might be a pointer: http://cgi.silverstones.com/library.php#mssg__header_editor

Hi,

I'm trying to modify the incoming subject of a message to remove some index information so that the messages can then be threaded by subject.

The plan is to create a filter which creates a new formatted message with the modified subject. What I don't understand is how to remove the information from the subject.

eg.
Warehouse Installation Issue [16349]

should be converted to:

Warehouse Installation Issue

and any replies

RE: Warehouse Installation Issue [16350]
to

RE: Warehouse Installation Issue

Any pointers on how to achieve this gratefully received.
