Question Regarding Using Hotmail and Another Server

Question Regarding Using Hotmail and Another Server in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
of course that's possible, receiving and sending are in fact not connected in any way. You can configure any server for pop3(receiving) and a completely different one for smtp(sending).
What people will see about you (name, from address, reply to address etc.) is what you enter in Account Properties -> General. Email addresses there have nothing in common with the mailbox you get the mail from (although these are usually the same, they don't need to be the same). So you can even send through hotmail but make it look like it comes from account@yourdomain.com (and recipients will reply to account@yourdomain.com)
I wanted to know if I would be able to receive a message through hotmail and then send out the automatic reply using filters with a separate domain?

Example
Support Ticket Comes Into Hotmail

Filters To Responses

Respond from account@mydonamin.com using my server to send the mail.

Thanks for any help.
