Never mind, just realised I haven't really posted this in the correct place. Contacted Ritlabs direct now.
I think I am reading you correctly although I wonder if I didn't explain myself very clearly in my initial post. I am taking about when I open an individual message, launched in a separate window. At this point, as a separate entity to the the main client I would expect the titlebar text to reflect something unique to this entity so on the Taskbar I would see The Bat!, Connection Centre and ideally EmailSubject as three separate items. If I had two messages open, I would also see EmailSubject2 and so on. I am NOT viewing a folder, I am viewing a message.

Both Outlook and Thunderbird I mentioned before have been configured to access the very same IMAP account and will give a message a Titlebar text as that of the email Subject.

I know you don't work for Ritlabs so would be interested to hear their take on this.
You're not really reading what I wrote, are you?

You might think that you're opening a message, but you don't open a message, you're opening a folder in a new window. And yes, just like the explorer, TB shows the name of the opened folder in the title bar.

These days I'm not familiar anymore with Outlook and Thunderbird, but if they show the subject of the message, they're probably opening that message. The Bat! isn't opening a message, it's opening a folder.
Mmm, assuming it isn't blasphemy to mention it, Outlook can do this as can Thunderbird so I'm not clear why it CAN'T be done and really, would assume it to behave so.

If I open an Explorer window, the titlebar message matches the folder being viewed. Just seems to be standard behaviour of any Windows application and I'm surprised TheBat is as it is.

It would be interesting to hear the Devs take on this.

I should add that I've only just purchased TheBat and otherwise very happy and pleased to have made the move, this being my only issue really.

Cheers.
Can't be done.
I guess it would mean a rewrite of something, because what you're actually doing is opening a folder in an additional window.
In case you don't see the other messages in the folder, simply enable: view -> show message list.

If all (or most) of your messages are located in the inboxes of your accounts, that won't be of any use. But when you're using numerous folders the folder names are more usefull than subject names.
Would it be possible to set the Titlebar text to that of a messages Subject line rather than View Folder Inbox of... ? This would assist in picking out an individual message if several are open.

Cheers.
