You are right, but i would love to let's my recipients see exactly what i see and HTML it's the way to go.
If the HTML/PlainText editor would wrap at the specified position that you can setup (Options->General (common for all editors) ) it would be the greatest thing in the world for me, because often and often i have to highlight special text in bold but obviously MicroEd can't let you do this thing.
MicroEd uses the display option you set in:
Options -> Preferences -> Viewer/Editor -> Plain Text/MicroEd
The default options are to enable you to easily distinguish different quote levels. When they're bothering you, you can change them.
Uhm, i would love having the "HTML/Plain Text editor" wrapping as the MicroEd one: in this way i can be sure the mail being sent will show exactly as TheBat! shows to me, that's not the case when using colors in quoting by using the MicroEd.
Obviously, a text-only editor can't produce colors, but why the quoted text is bold+colored when using the MicroEd while the recipient will se a really-text-only mail?!

====quote====
As for the MicroEd editor -- when that thing can handle proportional fonts, I'm sure many who don't use it would switch.
=============

I don't consider it very likely that MicroEd will ever support proportional fonts. Roelof:

If Duncan's correspondents complain that the text isn't wrapped it seems that there is a problem (arguably it could be in their email programs, not The Bat.)

As for the MicroEd editor -- when that thing can handle proportional fonts, I'm sure many who don't use it would switch. Frankly being told to use MicroEd whenever there is something "wrong" with the other 2 editors really isn't a solution (imho.)
Use the MicroEd editor for plain text.

The plain text (Windows) editor was developed for those who didn't like the auto wrap and other goodies of the original editor.

The HTML editor won't do any autowrapping, since it's the nature of HTML to fit into the availble window.

Wrapping auto wrapping doesn't work in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I have tried plain text editor and HTML to create outgoing messages with autowrapping enabled but while I am typing, the text goes off the right hand side of the editor pane so that you can't read it.

Under general editor preferences I have "wrap at 76 chars" and "smart wrap quoted text". Under micro-ed preferences I have "autowrap" and "justify on wrap".

Wrapping doesn't occur at 76 characters. It doesn't occur at all.

What's worse is that people receiving these emails complain about the same lack of wrap.

Anyone any idea wassup?

Duncan
