Download URL Manager

Download URL Manager in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
The url manager only works when you set it TB to use the internal rules:
Options -> Preferences -> Viewer/Editor -> HTML Viewer
Set the options to internal html-viewer and images under bat control
Even now you don't get the old behaviour: clicking on the download manager icon used to give a list of the used URLs in the message, but now it approves the used URLs (the default is by sender)
In order to get the old menu, you need to access the URL manager via the menu.
(Yep, via: Options -> Preferences -> Viewer/Editor -> HTML Viewer)

Hope this helps

Download URL Manager in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I actually DO like the URL manager, as you could easily identify the tracking images (images that were put into the e-mail to confirm if the e-mail was opened, hence the e-mail address is a live one). This is a really powerful thing in the hands of the spammers, and the URL manager is a great way to fight it!

The trouble is, while it worked fine in The Bat! v4 it seems to be gone in v6!? Initially it was there but only listing the sites, instead of the individual images. But I clicked on something by accident, and now it is fully gone, and I can't get it back. I would need the The Bat! v4 functionality actually, where I can choose the individual images to download, as sometimes the tracking image is on the same server as the useful ones.
I agree. Just because it shows the images doesn't mean that I am going to click on one. I would like to be allowed to make that decision myself.

-Jerry
Can someone please notify me WHEN the ability to disable the "download URL manager" is an option? If it weren't for this annoying item I would make "The Bat" my only mail reader and tell all my friends. Until then, I will continue using Outlook 2007.

I know there are reasons for the URL manager, but I don't care what they are. I want the emails I receive to show all images and links just like my email does in Outlook 2007. I understand there are risks and I'm willing to take them. PLEASE give me the option to do this your software.

Thanks for listening,

Troy
