Why Return Receipts when not checked

Why Return Receipts when not checked From only some ISPs mailers in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
The cause can be found in "relayed to non-DSN-aware mailer"
SMTP servers are required to send a message when they cannot deliver a message. These bounces are also called Delevey Status Notifications, when a server transmits a message to an MTA that doesn't bounce but drops undeliverable messages silently then that server will generate a message that tells you that the message is transmitted to a non-DSN-aware server.
Not quite a delivery receipt, but more a disclaimer.

So it's not because TB has some bad setting, but brcause your contacts use odd constructs to receive their mail.
Using The Bat Home edition 4.0.38

I've used The Bat for many years. No major problems.

I am getting delivery receipts from a few host's mailers including my own and now a bunch from aol.

Can't find how to turn them off if its coming from The Bat since in template for new messages both receipt request and reading confirmation is NOT checked.

I don't find anywhere else to make it send receipts

Get from some servers (mine and now a slog from AOL

----- The following addresses had successful delivery notifications -----
<dave@dxxxxx.com> (relayed to non-DSN-aware mailer)
