you can delete trhe ex-log.txt and the thebatexceptions.log safely, they're there to give Ritlabs support a clue about problems you're experiencing in case of AV's and such.
Did clean it, although only about 200 files were there. We'll see but I doubt it was the case ...
There is a cache folder in the root of your mail folders if you are looking with windows explorer. Check how many files you have in there and then delete them.

I run a batch nightly and then again when I feel like it. (my login is of course "Rick")
"del /Q "C:\Documents and Settings\Rick\Application Data\The Bat!\cache\*.*"
Thanks for info.
"bat" file indeed should be easy way. Back to the old DOS school haha
BUT ..bat..what I've noticed this Tricky Bat is still performing soooooooo pooor when I restore it from the sysstem tray...the improvement was placebo effect only
after using other apps for some time, it still takes maybe 5-10seconds to load slowly and then when I click on another account there it takes another up to 5 seconds... mother mercy, this was never the case!
about the same amount of time when I close and run it again!!

Am I having my message base screwed in some way or what could be the issue ? I did clean all trash, purge+compress and reduced the whole folder to 200mb. It was working faster with more before...
as I know there is no way to set theBat auto delete attachments or not store them, but with a simple .bat file you can delete all the images in a second. Run this .bat file every couple of days or schedule it to run with Windows task scheduler.

>By the way is there an option to receive messages from server marked there already as SPAM (in a separate folder) ?

If you do not receive them now, this is something to change on the server. When you configure the server, create a filter in theBat like
subject / contains / SPAM
and action - move message to folder..
Recently I was wondering why Bat became the slowest application of all time (literally!) regardless of the facts like fresh system install and full defragmentation.
It got better only today after I emptied manually all the images (like thousands gifs, jpgs etc) from my attachments folder.
Is there an option not to store them ? All those -mostly ad - rubbish from html messages ?

By the way is there an option to receive messages from server marked there already as SPAM (in a separate folder) ?
