Corrupted tbk backup

Corrupted tbk backup in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Best thing to try since it does sound you have the files available on the old machine - Zip/RAR the the data/program directories. There has been many reports that the internal backup does not work properly.
The registry may also need to be exported, I didn't since it would be a totally different OS, let The Bat! re-install the entries at startup (have your key available in a text file)

Note: Win7 uses a different data directory so extract to the 'new standard'.

Corrupted tbk backup in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Hi!

I'm the user of The Bat since 1.62, stuck for a long time with TheBat 3.99

Yesterday I created full backup of my mail using usual procedure and it worked flawlessly for ages. I always got my mails restored from backup everytime I wanted to.

Today, I had to setup new machine and tried to restore backup... And the process just ended up with "Operation completed" after a second (no progress started) without anything done. I'm using 3.99. I thought it is Windows 7 problem, but tried it over on clean Windows XP install - no success either.

My backup is over 2G large, two accounts, with thousands of messages, complex filters and lot of folders.

I tried to get my mails back using any recent version for testing and I got about 30% of mails recovered mostly for subfolders. I can't get most important messages from main inbox and sent folders.

What should I do now? Is it unrecoverable now? File seems good same as the medium I did backup onto.
