You could try whether you can restore your backups with v4.0.34, that's the last version that uses the same message base format as v3 and it can still be used with a v3 license.
Off hand I can't think of any reason why v3.95.6 won't restore.

hi,

i use the bat since 2000 or 2001 and i´m making backups on regular basis and had never problems with restoring my backups.

i had to reinstall my windows (XP) and now after installing my thebat vers. 3.95.6 including the international language pack I can not restore my recent backup. I got a message that the xxx.tbk-file can not be read.

so i tried several other backups, but got the same error. only a file from 2008 is working!?

can someone give me a hint what can be the problem? maybe i made a update of thebat between 2008 and now (i think i did not)?
