As the rss2pop3 plugin is rather old, I guess Authorized RSS channels won't work for good, but in the linked page from the OP as mentioned, TB states that it can read this Authorized RSS channels while in reality it can't. So maybe that tip front page needs update.

Authorized RSS channels in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
It would look like I appropriated this forum, but I'm just exploring TB to know how to set it up for my preferences

After following suggested RSS setup: http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/tips_detail.php?ID=2294 I'm pretty happy with the result, thou adding channels may be uncomfortable, so shortcut to some lite XML editor pointing on opml file is some way to go

However I can't access authorized channels, and as the guide suggested:

http://user:pass@www.server.com/rss.xml

should be used, it's not working for me.

I also tried creating special account for that feed (so that user in account preferences is pointing to the channel itself) but no result.
If I enter the address in browser it's working fine

Any ideas?
