V4.1 and higher use a different message base format than 4.0 and below, therefore backups don't work.
Simply install v4.2 on top of v3.9
It will convert the old style index file to the new style then.
That has always been the proper procedure to install new versions.

I not have 3.9 version and want to move to 4.2 but when I put 3.9 version backup to 4.2 I got empty email client. Why? How move to 4.2 version?
