well, when you're working and you urgently need to check your email it's annoying
One more thing - this problem is not caused by the Antivirus program, I have McAfee but I disabled the Firewall and the Real Time scanning and I can't see any improvements. Also rebooting the computer doesn't always help.
Yes I tried Outlook, Outlook Express and Pegasus. All of them are connecting instantly.
are you sure the problem is in theBat / on your side?
I mean, does another mail client connect instantly?

You may also configure your antivirus not to monitor the pop3 traffic and theBat's mail folder, and see if that makes a difference.

POP3 access delay 15s - 30s - 60s POP3 access delay in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
hey

I have some problems with The Bat! - sometimes when I try to retrieve my emails I have to wait up to 60 seconds for the bat to connect to my Inbox. Sometimes 15, or 30 but I noticed that the 60 seconds delay happens more often. If I restart the bat the problem remains, only if I reboot my computer the problem is fixed. This is not a problem only on this computer, actually is the 2nd computer I have and I get the exact same problem (Win XP HE on both computers).
Any suggestions?

Also is there any way to ignore an expired certificate when we try to get the emails through TLS protocol?

Thank you.
