Create two filters one incoming that checks the From address and an outgoing filter that checks the To address.
It's a bit bothersome, but that's how I'm doing that.

I perefer to filter email based on my correspondent's email address, regardless if he wrote to me or I to him. In other wrods, I want all email where there is a specific email address anywhere in any header, to go into the same folder.

But the controls I se when I create a filter do not allow filtering on both incoming and outgoing.

is there a way to do that?
