No gmail in 4.2.44 and 5.0.8 ???

No gmail in 4.2.44 and 5.0.8 ??? TLS handshake failed.invalid sever certificate.... in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
The "Trusted root CA" entry is just not there on my system

I moved all email directories to a backup dir, leaving an empty email dir. After starting The Bat! and re-entering the gmail stuff, I was suddenly able to get my gmail again. I compared the new directory with the old directory and I found there were a lot more files in the old one. I guess I had been left with a lot of history in files and configuration stuff between all the previous Bat! versions I have had. I moved the original directories back and removed all files I guessed were obsolete, and now I can send and receive gmail again... Ok, I messed up some group settings, but that is not the biggest problem...

I had:
AccOrder.CFG
ACCOUNT.CFG
Account.CFN
ACCOUNT.FLB
ACCOUNT.FLX
ACCOUNT.LOG
ACCOUNT.SRB
ACCOUNT.SRX
ACCOUNT.~FLB
ADDRBOOK.INI
avconfig.ini
COLORS.INI
CONFIG.CDB
Events.CFG
except.log
ex_log.txt
FolderTabs.CDB
GROUPS.CFG
IntermCA.ABD
LDAP#1.ABD
LDAP#2.ABD
LDAP#3.ABD
oneliners.txt
PGP.INI
PRINT.INI
RootCA.ABD
Shortcut.CFG
SmartBat.INI
SMIME.INI
smimernd.bin
TBPlugin.INI
tbuser.DEF
TheBat.ABD
thebat_Exceptions.log
urlmgr.xml
xpwelcome.txt

Now I am left with :
AccOrder.CFG
Account.CFN
ACCOUNT.FLB
ACCOUNT.SRB
ACCOUNT.~FLB
ADDRBOOK.INI
COLORS.INI
CONFIG.CDB
FolderTabs.CDB
GROUPS.CFG
IntermCA.ABD
LDAP#1.ABD
LDAP#2.ABD
LDAP#3.ABD
oneliners.txt
RootCA.ABD
smimernd.bin
TBPlugin.INI
tbuser.DEF
The Bat!.zip
TheBat.ABD
urlmgr.xml

So apparently it is all working now, but I still do not have the "Trusted root CA" entry.

If someone has a fix for that, that would be great.

Thanks so far.
OK, problem still remains... I can not get my hotmail mail anymore either. I can rule out provider, because my wife can get her hotmail and gmail with essential pim. So It should not be related to my internet provider.

OS is windows 7, 64 bit, asus
the bat! 4.2.44 now.

since sending can be done, I'll just give the pop settings:
GMAIL
mail server : pop.gmail.com authentication : regular
user : xxx protocol : POP3
connection : secure to dedicated port (TLS) Port : 995

HOTMAIL
mail server : pop3.live.com authentication : regular
user : xxx protovol : POP3
connection : secure to dedicated port (TLS) Port : 995

please advice.
