I have to agree with some of the other messages.
Using IMAP with mark message for deletion, do not use trash folder, Actually Deletes the message. It does not mark it.

postbox mail handles this okay, The Bat fails to do this.

Yes I do, but that's the problem: It deletes the message and it cannot be retrieved from Trash if I make a mistake.  And if I tell it to just move it to the trash folder, then it stays visible in the folder I deleted it from...

It marks it as deleted to the IMAP server knows to delete it, but it doesn't move it to the trash folder, making undelete impossible. This is what I expect when using that option.  It's the other option that doesn't work the way it used to - at least not when deleting from a subfolder.

The reason I mentioned that, was because I am using IMAP and for the first time(The Bat), and I have "Mark Message as deleted but do not move to Trash". But the problem I am having with the Bat is that the message is ACTUALLy deleted (not marked for deletion).

Postbox mail handles this okay

I have an IMAP (Gmail) account that I've been using for nearly a year in The Bat! (I was using a 4.x version that had decent IMAP support.)  

I upgraded to 5.0 a few days ago and this morning I noticed that it doesn't delete some messages in subfolders.  I have a number of inbox filters that move some messages to subfolders as they come in.  Once I've taken care of the messages, I delete them (they're reviews, so once posted on my web site, I delete them from the subfolders.)

What I noticed is that the message disappears from the subfolder for a couple of seconds, and then suddenly reappears.  Very weird.  I didn't have this problem in 4.x.  On the other hand, if I delete a message in the inbox folder, it doesn't come back, so this seems to be related to subfolders only.

Still IMAP-related, when The Bat! filters my inbox on reception and moves some messages to subfolders, sometimes it will leave a copy of the message(s) in the inbox (the message(s) also show up in the subfolders), and only much later will it finally remove them from the inbox, leaving them only in the subfolders (as expected.)  This seems to be intermittent.  Often I need to restart The Bat! for it to clean up the inbox.

This is using Windows 7 64-bit.  Other than this I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary yet.
