Oh, and I forgot to mention the weird little delay when clicking the minimise and restore down buttons in TB! [─][■][x]
File associations seem to be borked (again) in 5.08. After an app snatched the vcf association away The Bat! wasn't able to re-associate. I downgraded to 4.2.44 and The Bat! had no problems and added back the associations.

When closing TB! using the close button [X] there is a bit of a delay before TB! shuts down. It used to be instantaneous. It's a bit annoying really.

I may well reinstall the latest version again, but if the file associations get snatched again I'll downgrade to 4.2.44 and stick with that until these issues are fixed.

JFTR, I'm a VERY long time supporter/user of TB! and intend to continue along those lines. Granted, others have been with TB! longer but I started with early 1.x releases and joined the mailing list many moons ago. So if I level a criticism at RIT developers I hope you take it on the chin.

The criticism is that as file associations have been borked in previous versions you should have tested this before you made the v5.0.x release/upgrade available. When something as seemingly basic as file associations are borked you're going to drive potential users away..especially if it is their first encounter. It really, really really does not inspire confidence. And I imagine, as many people are quite unforgiving of such 'bugs', that it could and would put a lot of potential users off of using TB! altogether. Judgements are often made instantly, and sometimes people won't and don't give you a second chance. I think that people would tolerate less minor bugs more readily, oddly enough.

--edit
I simply haven't got the time presently to submit bug reports and the like so that's why I posted here.

Oh, and TB! is running on XP Pro SP3
