In Account properties / Mail management
there is a setting 'Receive header only if message size is greater than'
Check that box and specify a small size.
Check also 'Leave messages on server'
Leave all sub-options UN-checked.
POP does not allow for that. IMAP does, works fairly well with gmail. gmail IMAP is not the fullly compliant to IMAP. Uses labels for views instead of folders, does not support IMAP idle etc.

For what you are seeking it will work great, does not download the message so you will not have to set the 'leave mail on server' checkbox/flag.
I simply want to add every contact on my existing gmail to TB.
Of course, I can achieve that by popping directly, but I have quite a number of big attachments,
and will take a long time for TB to pop them all.

So in general, how can TB pop all my messages but WITHOUT attachment. Is there a way?
Please advise. Thanks!
