The Bat! Is Not Exposed To Information Disclosure Vulnerability

There is an information disclosure vulnerability in Microsoft Outlook (CVE-2019-0559) caused by improper handling of certain types of messages. Third parties can gather information about the infected systems by exploiting this vulnerability. Hackers need to send the victims specially crafted email messages in order to successfully carry out this type of attacks.

The Bat! email client is immune to such attacks because it never executes any code or hidden scripts embedded in email messages. Moreover, The Bat! does not collect any statistics of the users’ actions or other data, therefore there is no way to obtain sensitive information that might be helpful in further attacks.
