The Bat! Is Invulnerable To VCF Zero-Day Exploit

Security researcher John Page discovered a vulnerability in Windows and Microsoft Outlook which allows hackers to install malware on victims’ computers. The weak point is in the code that processes VCF (vCard) files, which are used to store electronic business cards.

The Bat! is invulnerable to this type of attack as it uses proprietary components to process VCF files both as attachments to messages and in the address book. Additionally, it doesn’t automatically open attached files and warns the users while opening certain file types or files with double extensions.
