Backup function isn't reliable, Frequent errors when importing

Hello

Please do something with backup/restore functionality.

I just wasted several hours by manually deleting all duplicates created with funky backup restore behavior.
Why manually? Because Maintenance Centre -> Remove Duplicates checked didn't  work at all

I'm using backup option to synchronize TheBat mails between laptop and PC

When creating backup all goes OK - my backup file is approx 70 mb.

When trying to restore backup I got frequent
"Cannot read from source disk" errors, but I just click OK and restore process continues.
Until last time when restore process went nuts and imported all mails as duplicates.
Those were strange duplicates, because maintenance option would delete them.

- Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
- TheBat 4.2.44.2

PS
I don't want to use newer version until all reported bugs are ironed out. Because of bugs I reverted into this version

IMO, it's not wise to rely on the in-built backup/restore (via The Bat! interface) which is not fail-proof - a better and easier method is to perform a manual copy-paste of the following mail folder:-

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\The Bat! Pwd

The following registry key is also recommended to be backed-up:-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT]

Hi

Sorry for late reply I somehow missed your answer.
Thanks, it seems that copying TheBat's folders are much better solution.
No more backup restore errors, duplicated mails which "Delete duplicates" function cannot delete...

Thanks
