nonexisting root certificate

is it possible to disable the message about missing root certificate when trying to connect to server with STARTTLS that doesn't have one?

it's annoying as hell and i'm 100% positive that the server is trusted so the message just bothers me.

both buttons "view certificate" and "add to trusted" are disabled.

thanks in advance.

It's not about the server being trusted. It's about the certificate and the organisation that issued that certificate being trusted.

I use TLS here with a server generated self-certification and have never had any trouble with this. You don't say which TB version you are using - could this have been a fixed bug? Have you tried importing the certificate to the windows certificate store? I don't know if that would help at all...

where can i obtain this certificate? the server doesn't have a certificate at all.

I got your same problem (search in the forum for Unknown CA certificate).

I had several e-mails exchange with Marck, but he was unable to provide any help or availability to make a modification to this annoyance. All the other e-mail clients are able to work with my server without problems, TB can't.

I also tried to open 3 tickets with Alexander to solve the problem: never got a reply.

The solution? Drop TB and use another e-mail client. This is what I did. It's a pity because I like TB, but their support level is poor.
