version 3.99 to v5 upgrade, differences between versions

Hello,

I have a registered version of the Bat Pro 3.99. I only use it for home use but I bought the Pro version for the encryption.

I am very happy with the functionality of v3.99 but I wanted to try the Bat Voyager and this requries a more recent version. Is an old version of Voyager that is compatible with 3.99 available?

What are the reasons to upgrade to v5? What has changed since 3.99? What improvements would I see?

I have downlaoded the trial version of v5 but if I go back to v3.99 apparently v5 uses a different backup format so backups made with v5 cannot be imported in to 3.99. How could I move the emails from v5 into v3.99?

Thanks.

V5 has better IMAP, I don't know whether you're an IMAP or a PO3 user
V4.1 has a different index file than the older versions (that's the reason for the backup incompatibility) and the new index format has some more possibilities (though I don't think they're used yet to full capacity)
Trying v5 can be done easily. Create a backup with your current version and set your POP3 account(s) to leave mail on the server. When you return to v3 you retore your backup and download the messages again.
