An outgoing mail filter does not work - not marking messages "unread"

I have created an outgoing mail rule to mark all send e-mails as "unread" (I want to go through it in future to check, if everything is answered). Condition is "Any message", Actions is "Mark the message as unread". Options: "This filter is active". Statistsics: "Tested 1 times", "Triggered 1 times". Unfortunately, the emails are still NOT marked unread.

What am I doing wrong?

I can reproduce that.
But if I create a filter that moves the message to another folder and then sets the message as unread then the unread flag gets set.
My outgoing filter merely moved the message to the sent mail folder (a tad redundant, as that is the  default action :D ) and then set the message as unread.
I guess this should work for you too.
