Visual setup

Hello everyone. Good to be here.

I've just installed a trial version of The Bat! and I found that it is very comprehensive but it lacks some appealing visuals from other email clients, like Outlook, etc.

So... i was wondering if it's possible to place the subject field under the sender, to make it a little more pleasant. and well organized.

Thank you.

Yes - go to OPTIONS / PREFERENCES / VIEWER EDITOR / MESSAGE HEADERS then select the subject and move it up with the buttons

You can do (almost) ANYTHING with the Bat, but you often have to configure it yourself. You can add shortcuts, SYSTEM shortcuts and icons to the various toolbars. The filtering is awesome as is the postponed sending  :)

hmmm... no, that didn't do it. Maybe i haven't explained myself clearly.

See here:

Example

Oh, ok, now i see what that does.  ;)

I want a simillar effect but in the message list, it's not possible, right? :)

It is working fine here - I just reproduced what you want and then changed it back again. That is how to move the order of that header view.

Let's let someone more knowlegeable step in  :|

Yes, it works, but only for new emails.
I want to change the message list, not the new email fields.

The uploaded picture is from Outlook.

Perhaps I misunderstood. When I make the changes I suggested, it changes the header display in the preview pane. If you want to do it for MESSAGES, then open a new message and go to options from there. It will work, but you have to close that message and open it up again

Am I misunderstaning something?

Please, try to understand this picture:

I want to place the subject beneath the sender, exactly like in the picture.

(sorry for bothering you again...)

That can't be done with TB.

Oh well... :)

Thanks anyway.

That being said, the information is there and you can easily get your eyes used to a slightly different format. Play with VIEW ? WINDOW SPLIT MODE and get a setup to your liking
