How to Check All Folders??

I presume you've got the account configured as IMAP, as POP3 doesn't support multiple folders.
In order to sel ect all folders you want to check, select the account in the account tree pane and pick fr om the menu:
account -> IMAP commands -> manage IMAP folders

When you've done the 'manage IMAP folders' thing then TB automatically selects all server side folders, so after doing that you should be checking all folders.

You said you went to account/properties, but the imap commands aren't under the properties.
Sel ect the account you want to configure in the account tree pane.
From the menu:
Account -> IMAP commands -> Manage IMAP folders
This will give you a pop-up that shows all server side folders, those that aren't selected can be selected and will be checked too with each mail check.

Managing the IMAP folders is an account specific action, that's why you need to select the proper account in the account tree pan (that part of TB's window that shows your accounts and folders.)
If the entry 'IMAP commands' isn't present in the 'account' section of the menu, then the selected account isn't configured as IMAP in TB. If you think it should be configured as IMAP, then you need to create a new account and select IMAP as protocol for receiving mail. (You can't switch existing accounts fr om pop3 to imap, because you'd mix remote and local folders in one account.)

I can help with this part - first don't use the global view mode - leave that set to "no view mode"
That being said, you can go to OPTIONS PREFERENCES VIEW MODES (or access it by right clicking a folder) and create a new view mode. check out the defaults and make a "New From". I have a "My THreaded" that I created and used. Now edit it and make the changes needed, the column line up etc. When you are fairly happy with it, save it and go back to the folders, right click and choose FOLDER VIEW MODE and choose the newly created View mode. Make some changes if needed and leave the folder. If you made changes, it will prompt you to save them and they will be saved to any folder using that view mode

Now right click a folder and you can either use the view modes to assign the view mode OR  use COPY COLUMN SETTINGS TO... and get a pick list. Pick your folders let it copy and you're done  :)
