Convert existing POP3 to IMAP

I have tens of thousands of emails, all stored in an elaborate folder structure, presently in Outlook 2010. I'm bringing the messages over to The Bat! right now. But ...

Is there any "reasonable" way to move these stored messages back onto the server, so that I can use one folder structure in one place with all messages past, present, and future?

Thanks!

Mount your account in Outlook as new data file under IMAP beside the existing local data file. Move (or copy as this is POP local) complete structure there. Mind limitation of mailbox on server of your provider.

Mount your account in TB as IMAP and download all messages.

If you have more message data as the server limit, you'll need two steps crating a a local account in TB to and move oldest messages there (yet afaik a manual job).

You'll have all messages on your server and backup them via TB on your local machine if you don't trust backup of your provider (best practice).

By this you get also the same view from your mobile devices and webmail.
