how to enable auto-detect charset by default

Hi,
I am using v.5.0.36.2 pro (registered).
I have a problem with messages from a certain domain.

In "HTML" tab the message appears garbled. On right-click>charset there is a tick next to KOI8-R but only after I select "Auto detect" or press Alt+5 it is displayed correctly (at this point the tick is still at KOI8-R).
In "Text" tab message appears correct.
While searching for a setting for this I noticed that in "HTML viewer" preferences all radio buttons are disabled (greyed out) and "Use system HTML viewer" and "Leave under IE control" are selected.

Any way to fix this?

The system HTML viewer is more or less the settings you've set for IE, therefore the display settings need to be tweeked in IE.
If you want to tweek them in TB then you need to enable 'Use The Bat! HTML viewer'.

I cannot select "use the bat html viewer" because the radio buttons are disabled. Any clue why that might be and how to correct it? Thanks!

I don't know why they're disabled, maybe somebody else has an idea. Over here I switch between both html viewers

I am still using version 5.0.36.2 here, and I have the same problem, i.e. radio buttons for HTML viewer selection greyed out.

RitLabs do not fix old versions. Максим, можно не ждать, что что-то когда-то подправят в твоём пятом мышонке. Использовать надо актуальную версию и через техподдержку/багтрекер просить исправить баг.
