Migrating from PocoMail to TheBat

Hi,

I have three basic questions.

In intend to switch to TheBat because my current client, PocoMail, is buggy and it has been discontinued. It's still workable, but every 6 months or so, I get a major crash which causes a lot of headaches.

I figured TheBat is quite powerful feature-wise, which is what I need, coming from nearly 10 years of using PocoMail.

Now, my questions:

1) MIGRATING: Is there a way to import PocoMail mailboxes (folders) into the Bat? PocoMail folders are stored as .mbx files. Pocomail is capable to export folders as Eudora (.mbx) and Netscape (no file extension). PocoMail is from 2009, so some formats may be outdated.

2) SPEED/STABILITY WITH LARGE AMOUNTS OF MAIL AND ATTACHMENTS: How does TheBat handle huge mailboxes? I intend to import (if possible) about 50-150GB's of mails (~500,000 mails), many with attachments. Does TheBat startup quickly with these amounts of data? Does it shut down quickly? Does it open folders smoothly if I switch folders (eg. "INBOX1" -> "INBOX2";).

3) BACKUPS:
- could I just copy all TheBat folders (including the 'mail' folder) to a separate hard disk manually, and in case of a crash use this copy to fully restore everything?

Cheers,

Hello,

For the question 1: You can't import your accounts. You have to create manualy your account and import your email as .msg or .eml
For the question 2: I can't answer, as I am a new user of the bat.
For the question 3: You can. And you can also setup the bat! to automatically create backup at the day/time you want.

Regards.
