Importing whole message base?, copy one message base on top of another and not lose messages

I'm currently using The Bat on a borrowed machine while I wait for broadband to arrive at my new house. What I want to do is somehow merge the two message bases when the happy day arrives. Both have the same folder structure and filters (I restored from backup without the messages to save space).

I see several solutions, none of them pleasant. I can  import each TBB file one at a time into the relevant  folder. I can export and import each folder. Or similar.

What I want to be able to do is either backup the temporary machine and then restore-merge onto my home machine, or import all TBB files in subdirectories into matching folders.

Does anyone know if that's possible?

How about using the "Tools .. Synchronize" functionality? That will allow you to effectively compare the two mailbases and catch one up from the other.

How about this similar issue:
I have had to uninstall and reinstall the bat v3.
Now I want to import the whole of the old data set, with addressbooks and rules etc - everything.
Due to the bat crashing, I was unable to back up, using the bat, before uninstalling - i only have the raw data folder.

How do I restore all the data to the new install?

Keep the data in the same place as it was.

Install TB
It'll ask you whether you want to restore a back-up or create a new account, select 'new account'
TB will ask for your mail directory, give it the location you were using before
TB will ask for an account name, give it your old account name
Now TB will pick the settings of the existing account
Do this for all of your accounts
