View mode setup prob. for different folder in v3.0.1.33 Pro

For inbox folder, I want to set "sort by thread" = sender.And "sort by thread" = None for trash folder. But it can't work. The two folders must be the same setting, even I set different view mode to each folder.

Any Global View or Folder View settings you have set will be applied in addition to anything you select on View -> Display. Think of View -> Display as displaying a sub-set of whatever you have for the Global/Folder view. Thus, for example, if your Global View is set to "only read messages" and you ask for View -> "Only unread" you will get 0 hits! You can easily check the filters applied by looking at View -> Display -> Advanced filtering. This will show the total filtering that is currently in effect and you should be able to see where the problem lies.
