How to stop saving sent mails

I am using Google Apps / Gmail and when I send mails using their SMTP server, they save a copy into my "[Gmail]/Sent Mail" folder automatically. TB also saves a copy of my sent mails in the folder I configure. How can I disable this to save space and confusion about duplicate sent mails?

You can have them all sent back to you by adding "recent:" before the user name (recent:me@gmail.com} *That is a full colon

I just open up the web interface every night and delete the sents, spam and trash as I have one account I use VERY heavily - I can fill it in 4-5 days

Rick,

thanks for the answer, but I'm not exactly sure if I follow you - get what sent back to me?

What I want to achieve is that The Bat! does not save my sent mails anywhere, neither in a local or IMAP folder, because GMail / Google Apps already saves my sent mails automatically, when I use their SMTP server.
