How to configure a Google Apps for Work email account (w/ custom domain) and IMAP?

I would like to test The Bat, but can't find any info on how to use IMAP. Michael

I regularly use email from different IP addresses, both when travelling and because my IP address at home (i.e., when in my office) is dynamically assigned. Would this mean I would have constant "web login required" errors when using The Bat (which someone mentioned in the "[help_]" Yahoo mailing list @ https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/help_/conversations/topics/46974?
