Cannot configure IMAP, reverts to POP

I have a runbox.com email account.  I have it setup on my windows 7 computer with a regular account and also with an alias and I am trying to recreate it on a windows 8 machine.
When I setup the account I use the same settings, startt with TLS same ports and I select POP or Imap.  Then I choose to receive my incoming mail using IMAP4.
But when the account is done being setup it shows POP not IMAP as the protocol and it won't import my messages.

If anyone knows the steps to setup an alias account too I would be really grateful if they could share it.

Jim

Using your own Domain
If you signed up to your Runbox account using your own domain name then your username will be as follows:

Username:  username%domainyouown.com (note that the @ symbol changes to a % symbol)
Please Note: If you used your account using an @runbox email address before you  added your own domain name, then your Runbox username will not have  changed and will be the same as for @runbox email addresses (see above).
