Change font type/size while writing a message, Change font type/size while writing a message

Hi there!

Is there a way to change the font type and its size while writing a new message, or replying to an old one?

In the new message window I see there is a 'Format' menu, and then a few options such as 'bold', 'italic', 'underline', etc. But nothing about front type and most importantly (at least for me), its size. Many times I need to select a portion of the message text and make it smaller in size. Is there a way to do that in The Bat?

I am aware of the 'Viewer profiles', but I do not think these are helpful in such a case. I may be wrong, so... are they?

As far as the editor I like to use, that is the 'HTML/Plain text' editor.

OPTIONS / PREFERENCES / VIEWER-EDITOR / PROFILE LAYOUT
Set each type of text the way you want it to appear. You can save the profile and make several ir you need them (one for corresponding in Chinese for instance)

You don't see a Font and Size box in your Formatting toolbar when you write new email or reply?  I do. I can change the font, size, etc while doing those things. In my case the font and size are to the far left of the toolbar.

Yes, I did create some profiles in 'Viewer/Editor Profiles', and then set them individually in the 'Profile Layout' menu. However, my problem is that I do not find the way to apply these profiles to a selected portion of text.

Ok, but how/where can I do that?

If I go to 'View -> Viewer Profile' and sel ect a profile from there, it does not change anything. Not even the entire message, not to mention a text selection. Clearly, I'm missing something here...!  :(

I'm afraid not. Please take a look, no font size setting here (I'm using the latest version: 7.1.12)...

I'm wondering if there's any setting I need to make to enable changing the text size right fr om this menu. It would be very simple and quick...!

Try View | Toolbars | Formatting. That should give you a toolbar that includes font and typesize settings.

What version of Windows are you on?

Daniel's instructions should fix it for you. Be sure you access it from the compose window. It's not under View in the main program toolbar.

Be sure that you are in  "HTML/plain text" or "HTML" mode while in editing window and not in Plain text mode.

Sel ect fr om the status bar (normally next to clock pic)
