(TB! v7.1.18 64bit) Filtering not happening; also "6 lost folder(s) found" over and over

I recently upgraded from v4.x to v7.1.18 to address the SMTP problem with 1and1. I simply installed v7.1.18 over the old version. Filtering of incoming does not seem to be working right and I'm wondering if there's a setting I'm missing.

Let's take a sample email in my Inbox. From field is "DiscountMags.com" <newsletter@mail.discountmags.com> and if I right-click and do Message > Test Filters (Rule sets to apply = Incoming, Read, Replied) I get this result:
Quote
Message from DiscountMags.com, subject "Last Chance! The Father's Day Sale Ends Tonight", size 17,199 bytes filtered  (processed by "Processed by: Deals: Magazines. Actions performed: Move to the folder \\Andrew Webber\____Deal emails\Magazines"), URL: msgid:[long string]?folder=\\Andrew%20Webber\Inbox
which is what I would expect (filter Deals: Magazines is a series of OR Sender match, one of which is newsletter@mail.discountmags.com).

If I open Sorting Office and Re-filter selected folder [Inbox] after editing (same rule sets), I get

Quote
Messages processed: 9,515
Messages filtered: 6

Message from CIRA Registration Services, subject "Important Notice from CIRA", size 18,728 bytes filtered  (processed by "CIRA"), URL: msgid:[long string]?folder=\\Andrew%20Webber\___Domains%20%26%20Domaining\CIRA
Message from CIRA / ACEI, subject "Apply today for CIRA's Nomination Committee", size 18,411 bytes filtered  (processed by "CIRA"), URL: msgid:[long string]?folder=\\Andrew%20Webber\___Domains%20%26%20Domaining\CIRA
Message from CIRA / ACEI, subject "Apply today for CIRA's Nomination Committee", size 18,419 bytes filtered  (processed by "CIRA"), URL: msgid:[long string]?folder=\\Andrew%20Webber\___Domains%20%26%20Domaining\CIRA
Message from CIRA Registration Services, subject "Important Notice from CIRA", size 18,952 bytes filtered  (processed by "CIRA"), URL: msgid:[long string]?folder=\\Andrew%20Webber\___Domains%20%26%20Domaining\CIRA
Message from CIRA Election, subject "Have a real impact online: apply for .CA membership!", size 21,850 bytes filtered  (processed by "CIRA"), URL: msgid:[long string]?folder=\\Andrew%20Webber\___Domains%20%26%20Domaining\CIRA
Message from CIRA Election, subject "Have a real impact online: apply for .CA membership!", size 21,861 bytes filtered  (processed by "CIRA"), URL: msgid:[long string]?folder=\\Andrew%20Webber\___Domains%20%26%20Domaining\CIRA

and while they're matching they're not moving. There are also a lot of other unread messages in the Inbox that would match another filter (like the DiscountMags.com example above) that aren't even matching when I do the manual refilter (nor did they match when they arrived). They were working before, though I can't say for sure that the behaviour changed at the same moment I upgraded. Is there some switch I need to set to have this happen?

Also, and not sure this is related, if I do CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-L, I get "6 lost folder(s) found". Over and over and over. I was expecting after the first time, it would say "0 lost folder(s) found" since they're no longer lost.

What can I do?

Thanks!

If they are common filters, go in to the "shared with" tab and see if the correct account is in the selection. Then refilter from the correct inbox (NOT a virtual inbox! The results can be sad if you do that ... like I have)
If it is still not working, delete and recreate the filter and see if that does it.

As for the issue with the folders reappearing. Run the maintenance center, then shut the program down. Then go to the mail folder and search for "scraps" if you are in Windows, you can just search for this string from the root of the mail folder
MESSAGES.BC? OR MESSAGES.BK? OR MESSAGES.IB? OR part????.bin OR *.tmp
There are a couple of others if you have your mail encrypted: if that is the case just look for them. I would say you can just delete them all but perhaps be cautious and delete anything previous to today or better yet, zip them all up just in case (I have NEVER had an issue deleting them all)
Start the bat and see if that fixes it
Side note that has nothing to do with your issue: It is good housekeeping to delete the contents of "imgfiles" while you are in the mail folder while you are there. It contains all downloaded images from emails and does not clean itself up.

Thank you. Unfortunately I can't find a "shared with" tab. AFAIK I'm using a real inbox. It does seem like some filters are firing (even on mail fetch) and some are not. The "Magazines" example is one that isn't, it isn't even being listed as triggered. Maybe I need to rebuild that filter too, though I really don't want to.

I ran Maintenance Centre, got
Quote
Duplicates found: 2072
Messages purged: 0
Disk space saved: 218.51 MB
Folders checked: 1812
Damaged folders found: 152
Messages recovered:  12315
which makes me nervous. However I ran it again and everything came up zeroes, so I guess it's okay (not a sign of a failing drive or something). Exited The Bat! then relaunced it. Deleted the CIRA filter, then recreated it (it was only one rule). Ran filters again and a lot of stuff got moved into folders. Maybe everything that was supposed to.

Then I did SHIFT-CTRL-ALT-L and got "38 lost folder(s) found". Did it again and got "6 lost folder(s) found". Does this never stop!? And should I be worried about (e.g.) hardware failure? It's a pretty new SSD.

BTW "imgfiles/" had a size of only 4K.

Thanks again!

Then I exited The Bat! and relaunched. Went straight to SHIFT-CTRL-ALT-L and got "15 lost folder(s) found". :(

Recreating the CIRA filter seems to have solved that problem mostly, though I still sometimes get incoming messages that don't get filtered (not the CIRA filter).

I did the Maintenance Centre, exited, deleted those files MESSAGES.BC?, MESSAGES.BK?, MESSAGES.IB?, part????.bin, *.tmp

and relaunched The Bat!

CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-L results in "46 lost folder(s) found".

and then when I run Maintenance Centre again (after deleting any folders that reappeared) I get 26 Damaged folders found.

Is there something else I can do now? This seems like an endless process. :(

Thanks!

AWEBBER:
Did you resolve this? I am having the same problem. Began after upgrading to 7.x
One thing I notice is that I can't find any shared filters. If I create a new shared filter, it doesn't show up anywhere.
Too many filters and too complex to recreate..... :(
