3.5: What Happened to 'Edit Keyboard Shortcuts' ?, Was function removed by design, or is it a bug?

I had a number of frequently-used functions assigned to keys, but those were lost in 3.5. It looks like View -> Edit Keyboard Shortcuts has been removed. Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?

It has been replaced by the vastly more powerful "Customise UI" features that are the main thrust of the 3.5 version. Please search this forum for more information on "Customise" or "Customize". FWIW: I spent a lot of time during the past 2 days trying to do exactly that. My problem was that none of what you suggested was covered in the Help. It seems that the Help system has not caught up with the 3.5 functional improvements.

Why is V3.5 such a major departure from V3, and are there any detailed release notes available? The Help files don't.
