3.5: What Happened to 'Edit Keyboard Shortcuts' ?, Was function removed by design, or is it a bug?

Just upgraded from 3.0.1.33 to 3.5.  I had a number of frequently-used functions assigned to keys, but those were lost in 3.5.

It looks like View -> Edit Keyboard Shortcuts has been removed.

Is this a bug?  Is there a workaround?

It's not a bug. It has been removed. It has been replaced by the vastly more powerful "Customise UI" features that are the main thrust of the 3.5 version.

Please search this forum for more information on "Customise" or "Customize".

Thanks, Mark.

I'm able to customize very easily now.

FWIW: I spent a lot of time during the past 2 days trying to do exactly that.  My problem was that none of what you suggested was covered in the Help.

It seems that the Help system has not caught up with the 3.5 functional improvements.

This time the help isn't created by Ritlabs and even though the new help was as good as up to date with the latest betas, it wasn't quite finished yet. It will come soon, I guess.

There appear to be some bugs with the customization, though... try to re-assign Ctrl-Enter to anything but the default, for instance.

Hi, could someone tell me how to assign keystrokes to 'mark as junk' and 'mark as not junk'in V3.5.

Why is V3.5 such a major departure from V3, and are there any detailed release notes available? The Help files don't.

The way I did was this:

View -> Toolbars -> Customise

Select Container -> Main Form -> Shortcut Collection

I added Mark as (NOT) Junk to this container.
They can be found from Available Items -> MsgCtl

Now you can assign shortcuts to both actions.
