I've recently discovered MailTicker, a very handy thing.
There's one thing that has to be changed though.
IMHO, the purpose of the ticker is to allow me do my stuff without switching to TheBat! [i.e. keep doing the same task]
If I get a new message, I can click on the ticker and I will be 'driven' to the message.
I think it would be much better if I could just right-click the ticker, and press 'mark as read' [if there are multiple messages, then how about a drop-down menu with these messages, so that I can individually mark them as read].
Yes, I can use the 'age' criteria. But if I am not at the computer, the message will get 'old', and by the time I get back - it's already off the ticker.
It would be a hell of a lot better if I could somehow see an excerpt of the message if I keep the mouse over the ticker - that would be perfect.
Like I said, the purpose of the ticker is to allow me manage my emails without interrupting the work I do. What mailticker does now is OK, but IMHO it's not much better than 'animated icon in the systray if there are unread messages' [because in both cases i'll have to manually open the program and do the clicking]
