Delete --> Delete + mark as read, How to flag deleted messages as "read"

Hi,

When deleting unread messages, they're moved to the trash as "unread"

How can we automatically flag these deleted messages as read so they aren't highlighted.

What's the issue? Right now, I have 21 unread messages and they're all in the trash. So, you can see it's better if all messages in the trash aren't highlighted.

Email accounts are IMAP Gmail, and other.

In the Properties of that account, go to Mail Management | Deletion and mark "Mark deleted messages as read".
