I`m using Norton internet security.

Found this on GMAIL site..
Is your Internet Security blocking something ?

Some internet service providers block access to port 25, the port used to send email via the internet. If your ISP blocks access to port 25, you need to configure your mail server to use a non-standard port to retrieve your mail.
<P>
To access Gmail messages using Outlook or Outlook Express, we suggest configuring your mail server to use port 465. If you are using Eudora, we suggest configuring your mail server to use port 587.

Hi,

Check out:
Setting Up The Bat! for use with GMail

This is how it should be set to work, although I'm not using Norton but ZoneAlarm :)

Also, if it keeps telling you that the certificate is invalid, you should go to The Bat!'s Address Book, then Trusted Root CA, find the Thawte Server CA open it, go to Ceritficates, select the certificate, click View, it will say:

This S/MIME certificate is invalid

The CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root CA address book

Go to the Certification Path tab, click the Add to Trusted button, confirm the adding to trusted. Now the certificate should say that it is valid! That's it :)

Hope this helps you :) Tell us if it worked or not...

Hmmm, as far as I can see you connect to GMails SMTP server, but it refuses the domain of the email address you are sending to. Are you sure the address exists? GMail checks to see if the domain exists before allowing delivery, so if you give it a fake domain it will refuse to relay the message!

One more thought about your problem, are you sending to a single address or to multiple addresses? If you are sending to multiple addresses make sure you don't send to more then 10-15 people, as GMail may also not allow that!
