Quote not working correctly since newest update, Quote quotes the wrong message

I often press F4 to quote a sender's message and then reply below it, but lately this either quotes previous e-mails (dangerous if overlooked!) or nothing at all (i.e. a blue bar on the left and then nothing besides it).

Anyone else noticed this? What's going on here?

Which version are you using? Have you run an integrity check of your folders using Folder | Maintenance Center?
I volunteer as a moderator to help keep the forum tidy. I do not work for Ritlabs SRL.

It's the newest version. Maintenance Check doesn't solve anything, i'm afraid.

Are you comedian? Please, write it exact version.

You can also respond in a normal way, George. Newest version as of 25 August. It's not that hard to do the maths.

But here you go: 9.2.3.

There is no any normal way here. Your posts will be available here years after. That's why need to write your version always.

Can I ask you to try 9.2.5 version?
For example, I don't have such bug with x64 9.2.5 TB!

It's gotten better in 9.2.5, but when I quote messages, all enters in the quote disappear.

Any chance of creating a video of what you're doing? I get that result if I press F4 without first highlighting the text to quote.

No video needed. It's very simple.

This is the situation. As you can see, I have selected the text I want to quote:

I now press F4. Nothing else. The Choco Dark theme introduces another problem, as you can see: dark text on a dark background, with no way to set the background color of quoted text.

Well, it isn't simple to me. Have you reinstalled or done a repair? That may help. And when I duplicate what you do, I have a color for quoted text. Have you looked at changing color for quotes in profile layout? I'm puzzled that your compose window shows black text on white background in choco dark theme. The color themes are new to us all, so a bit of experimentation may prove helpful. I did some tweaking to set things the way I like. Good luck.

I've done a full repair. No change. I've also changed the color for quotes, but this setting is completely ignored.

This again was confirmed by Ritlab themselves on Facebook, and they promised an update next week.
