SecureBat, Migration, and PGP

I am using SecureBat! v2, and I want to be able to decode PGP 8. Now, I am reading that SecureBat! has built in PGP 6-8 support, however everytime I try to enable it, it is greyed out. Is there a reason for this? Does this mean I already need PGP 8?

I figured I would install PGP 8 since it give me what I wanted. Well, it worked. However, as soon as I rebooted, my whole machine crashed. When windows came up, the mouse and keyboard were frozen at logon.

I have spent the last 24 hours reloading my system, angrily enough. I loaded up PGP 8, and the same thing happened. I was able to recover my system and figured something was wrong with PGP. Well, I loaded PGP 9, fresh off the website, and it corrupted the freshly installed operating system again.  I was able to recover and clean it out of my registry. When securebat is uninstalled, PGP loads just fine. Is there a reason that Securebat causes PGP to corrupt my system, or vice versa? It seems to me that there probably isn't a difference in version 3.5 that corrects this problem, and I'm not willing to try at this point.

Basically, I am angry that I can't use PGP 8 or 9 and securebat/thebat.

Also, I notice there is a complete lack of comparison for the TheBat! Educational Version. So is educational the Home version, or the Pro version?

My colleague will give you an answer concerning the problems you are having with PGP.

As of the Educational version it is the Home Edition of The Bat! version 3. The differences between the Home and the Pro versions are listed here:

To use built-in support of PGP v6-8, you should have PGP installed. PGP 9 can be used too, the only trick is to copy pgpprefs.xml to pgpprefs.cfg, AFAIK.
